Can You Believe It’s Almost Christmas? (December Recap)

Hello, lovely people! And is that a long title or what? 😀 I’m so excited…because Christmas is in 3 DAYS! December has gone by so fast, I can’t believe it! In today’s post, I’ll be talking about what I did in December!

  • I had my Christmas Choir Concert! I think it went really well, and it was a lot of fun!
  • I hosted a Christmas Party with some of my friends! It was so much fun!
  • We went sledding with my brother’s friends!
  • We haven’t seen the new Star Wars movie yet (This isn’t really part of the recap, I just REALLY WANNA SEE IT!)
  • It snowed….a lot. And still is.

I’m sorry this post is so little! 😩 Oh well!

I CAN’T WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS.

Happy Holidays!

The Christmas Tag

Hello, lovelies!

img_8766-2 (1)

Loren posted on her awesome blog something called The Christmas Tag! I thought it looked like fun, so I decided to do it…and, well, here we are! By the way, you should check out her blog HERE!

First of all, here are the rules for this tag!

– thank the person that nominated you with a link to their blog
– add the picture in your blog (the red one above)
– copy these rules into your post
– add a link to the original post (littlediyprojects.wordpress.com/thechristmastag)
– answer the ten questions (you can add extra Christmas-related questions if you want)
– tag at least three other bloggers with links to their blogs
– have fun!

Now for the fun part, the questions!

1) what’s your favourite thing about Christmas?

Ummm, EVERYTHING? Just kidding! I do love just about everything about Christmas, but if I had to pick a favourite it would probably just be spending time with my family.

2) what’s your favourite Christmas memory?

Well, I’ve got lots, but seeing as I’ve got to pick one, I’ll go with when I opened my giant BB-8 plush. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

3) are there special traditions your family has for Christmas?

We open our gifts at home and then go to my grandma’s house and she makes a ton of food! Also, our cats destroy the tree, which isn’t really an official tradition, but it happens every year so I’m including it. XD

4) what’s your Christmas wish? (can be personal or general)

This one is sort of tough for some reason! I just hope to have a fun time with my family. 😀

5) what’s your favourite Christmas dish?

As I mentioned above, my grandma cooks a ton, and my favourite out of all the delicious stuff she makes would probably have to be the mashed potatoes. Mmmm.

6) what’s your favourite Christmas decoration?

I have lots, but one of them would be the adorable hedgehog that Kaitlyn from Kaits AG Crafts got me! I love it! Thank you, Kaitlyn! Check out her blog here!

7) what’s your favourite Christmas song?

Oh dear, this is tough! I love just about every Christmas song! I Heard The Bells on Christmas Day is a good one! We sang it in choir this year.

8) where do you usually celebrate Christmas?

Like I said, we open our gifts from our parents at home and then go to our grandparent’s house for FOOD! (and more presents). The day after we go to our other grandparent’s house. 🙂

9) what does the “Christmas spirit” mean to you?

Kindness! As well as Christmas songs playing 24/7 in my head. XD

10) who out of anybody in the world would you want to spend your Christmas with?

My family, of course!

I tag:

Laura from Lula Boo

Kaitlyn from Kaits AG Crafts

And YOU!

Have fun, and happy holidays!

Choir!

You’ve probably heard me mention that I do choir before, and if you haven’t, well then, I do choir! I love to sing and our choir director is amazing! So is our pianist! Last year I didn’t do any solos, but I did do a part in one song where I had to dance while everyone else sang! Eeek! It was fun, though, no matter how scary. Our Christmas concert is actually TODAY! AAAAH! I’m actually doing a solo this time ( A singing one! )! I’m very excited…but also terrified. Wish me luck!

Bye,

Guinea Pig Update & Doll Repainting

Hello, lovelies! Nano is now over, meaning getting back to blogging will be easier ( I hope! ). I’m also going to be setting up a blogging schedule soon! I’d like to post at least two times a week as I haven’t been so good about that lately.

Anyway, in my last post, I broke the very exciting news that we will be getting guinea pigs! Well, now we’ve gotten them! They are just so adorable. We got them from a local shelter in our area, and they had the names Cashew and Clementine which we thought were just adorable names, so we decided to keep them. As I write this post, I can hear them eating and squeaking. The squeaking noises they make really are just so cute! Clementine, my guinea pig, is sort of a gingerbread colour.

Speaking of pets, our cat Natalie is ALMOST TWENTY! That’s really old for a cat. Like, really old. She’ll be twenty on Christmas!

In other words, all our pets are doing well!

Now, you may have noticed that I have also written Doll Repainting in the title! That is because I have started to repaint doll’s faces ( No, NOT American Girl faces or anything like that. That would be a disaster. )! You may have heard of the artist Sonia Singh, who repaints dolls to look like real people! You can check her out here! I thought that was really cool, so I decided to give it a try myself. I like to draw and paint, so I thought “how hard can it be?”

Well, harder than I thought for sure. First, you have to wipe off their “factory paint” with nail polish remover, which is kind of terrifying. Then you have to actually paint on a face, and their faces are TINY. ( I use Bratz dolls to repaint: I don’t like their faces, but if you do, please don’t take offence; their faces just aren’t for me. ) I get my dolls to repaint at thrift stores ( because we all know how much I love thrift stores! )

That’s all for now!

Guinea Pigs!

Hello, lovelies! So today (well, actually yesterday) something really exciting happened! yesterday was my brother’s birthday, and he and I have both been wanting guinea pigs for a really long time. My parents said we could get guinea pigs! We’re going to get two because they like to have friends. One will be mine, and the other will be my brother’s! But I need YOUR help! My brother has decided to name his guinea pig Daisy, but what should I name mine? The names I’m considering are:

Ellie

Indigo (Indie for short)

Curry (as suggested by my brother)

Dottie

Please let me know which one you like! And if you have any suggestions, comment those too!

Sorry, there’s no poll, I’m lazy. XD

SAIGE COPELAND!
Someone in my area was selling her for $75 dollars with two outfits and her book! I asked my mom to message the woman selling her, and we got her!

YAY!

I’ve wanted Saige for a very long time! Many of you have her, and I just love her hair! (Well, I love everything about her, actually!)

So welcome Saige! I’ll try to post pictures soon, but it’s been hard to work out pictures lately. 😩

She came with two outfits like I said before. One of them is this one:

4f2cf9d7d7ce7370cf20ffe5dbdc964c--new-american-girl-doll-sparkle-dresses

And I’m not quite sure what the other one is.

Saige is in really good condition! I need to fix up her hair a bit, ( Any tips? Help! ) but other than that she’s in awesome condition!

Bye for now!

I’m Still Alive!

Hello, lovelies!

Yes, I am still alive.

It has been FOREVER since I last posted.

FOREVER!!!
Okay, so maybe not that long, but it’s felt like it! I have so much to say, but the first thing is, I’m terribly sorry for not posting for so long. It makes me so happy to blog, and I want to be happy, as well as to keep up with all your awesome blogs! So I’m very sorry and I hope that I will post continuously for quite a while now!

So now that that’s done with, let’s have some fun! We’ll start off with some fun/interesting things that I have done lately!

  • I went camping with some of my friends! Unfortunately, it was not a super great weekend for weather (cold and rainy the entire time), but it was still a lot of fun!
  • I saw Kaitlyn again! We had a lot of fun, and Kaitlyn is so awesome! Plus, her dollhouse is AMAZING. *drools*
  • My mom got her first doll! I’ve been bugging her to get her own doll for a while, and it finally happened! Her doll’s name is Cecilia Finn, and she’ll be introduced in a later post!
  • I have new dolls as well! They are both Disney Animators. They were originally Anna and Elsa, but I renamed them to Waverly and Acadia (Cady)!

I think that’s about it! I have tons of posts planned, so be on the look out for those!

As always,

AG New Release Thoughts!

OK. First, let me start off this post by apologizing. We’ve been busy lately, but not too busy, and I should’ve been blogging more. It’s been forever! Happy summer! I can’t believe how long I’ve been gone. Once again, I’m really sorry. I have more posts in the works!

And, also before we start the post, HUGE thanks to Megan for helping me redesign my blog! She was amazing and if you want to redesign your blog I would totally recommend her. She just did such a great job. I love my new blog design! Thanks, Megan! ( And also thanks to Clara for recommending Megan! )

And one more thing before we start! I downloaded these pictures from other people’s blogs. This was a while ago, so I don’t remember which blogs. Sorry about that! I would give credit, but I don’t know where these are from, and like I said, they are from multiple other blogs. Just wanted to say that.

Now let’s get started!

AG’s new release…I have mixed thoughts. I’m still super relieved about the whole no more permapanties thing ( see my post about that here. ), but on the other hand, I dislike many of the new things they released. What do you think?

6a00e54efed408883401b8d28f29ea970c-800wi

The new dolls! What cuties! From left to right I’ll call them Kelsie, Harley, and June.

Kelsie: LOVE her hair! Someday I might have to own her!

Harley: AAAH! She’s super cute too! To be honest, I would be afraid to touch her hair, but I love her!

June: June is probably my least favourite. She’s cute though!

And as for the new outfit, I love everything except for the shoes. The dress and the sweater are adorable!

unnamed (2)

So cute! They are now offering the dolls with no hair as TM dolls, so you now don’t have to special order them!

unnamed (1)

I don’t know why, but I really dislike this hat. It’s just not for me.

unnamed (3)

LOVE this! Too cute. The sweater is adorable!

unnamed (4)

Argh, this photo is tiny! Sorry! I love this set! It’s expensive but adorable.

unnamed (5)

This is cute, but I only really like Coconut. And it’s $50, which seems pretty high to me.

unnamed (6)

This reminds me of Grace’s suitcase! It’s okay. Not my favourite, but I can see other people liking it.

unnamed (8)

I adore this outfit! PURPLE!
unnamed (9)

This is probably one of my favourites from this release. It’s so realistic and CUTE!

unnamed (10)

Nope. I don’t like this one. The camera is cute, but nothing else really appeals to me, and the banana seems a little random.

unnamed (12)

Love this dress!

unnamed (13)

NO! I just dislike everything in this outfit, ESPECIALLY together.

unnamed (14)

Once again, I’m not a fan of this outfit.

unnamed (15)

CUTE! I love this skirt!

unnamed (16)

I don’t get the whole tights and shorts thing! And I don’t like the top either.

unnamed (17)

Cute! I love the turquoise ones.

unnamed (18)

I LOVE these. Not cutesy, but very sophisticated, and the colours are gorgeous!

unnamed (19)

I’m just kind of meh about this outfit. I’m not really a sports girl, but I am glad it’s not pink!

unnamed (20)

Cute, but I wouldn’t spend my money on it.

unnamed (21)

OOH! YAY! I like this set! It’s not too pink, and it comes with a lot of very realistic items.

unnamed (22)

It’s just another locker set to me, I like that it’s blue but other than that, I don’t care for it.

unnamed (23)

Adorable! This is an item I would consider buying!

Aww! I love the cat! She looks like Licorice! The dog is cute too!

unnamed (26)

Honestly, I don’t like this shirt. I LOVE Coconut, but I’m not a fan of the graphic.

unnamed

EEE! Love, love, LOVE this! It’s like McKenna’s loft bed, but I like it more and I love the teal colour.

And that concludes my post! What do you think of the new items? Let me know on my contact page or in the comments section!

And one last thing: Charis ( rhymes with Paris ) Rae just started self-hosting her own blog! Go check it out over charisrae.com!
